GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATION - The W.T.A. maintains close contact with the State Legislature, law enforcement and other governmental agencies. Legislation on both the state and federal level can affect every aspect of your business operations. Thus, lobbying is one of W.T.A.'s most important functions. The W.T.A. continuously mointors numerous legislative bills and administrative rulings, especially those concerned with towing operations, vehicle registration, motor vehicle equipment, highway safety, insurance, taxes, size and weight restrictions and economic development.

INFORMATION SERVICES - Members receive a monthly newsletter, quarterly Truck Talk publication, weekly faxed/emailed Truck Talk Express publication. The W.T.A. also serves as a clearing house for both federal and state regulations, towing procedures, and other information of pertinence to the industry.

ANNUAL CONVENTION - The W.T.A. holds an annual convention and business meeting at which the Associations' directors and officers are elected and at which general matters of importance to the Association are considered and voted upon by the membership.

DRUG TESTING PROGRAM - The Association offers a comprehensive drug testing program for its members. This program provides immediate compliance to the Federal regulations, eliminating the need for each company to make its own multiple arrangements necessary to comply with a very complicated series of regulations.

LONG DISTANCE TELEPHONE SERVICE - In cooperation with Globalcom Communications, the Association provides a long distance service for members. Our member discount plan is an enhancement of Globalcom's normal volume discount, making this long distance service benefit second to none.
